Enjoy Uffizi-inspired art activities for children in the square and in the studio 10 am – 2pm.
Sunday, November 11 / 12 – 4 pm
The 18th Annual Telfair Art Fair will be held November 10th and 11th in the heart of historic downtown Savannah, Georgia. There will be an Opening Night Preview on Friday, November 9th. This popular southern open air art fair attracts thousands of high-end art collectors, tourists, area residents and families and is open to artists displaying and selling works in various artistic disciplines including painting, printmaking, drawing/pastel, digital media, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics/pottery, photography, furniture, glass, textiles/fiber, and mixed media. Approximately 120 artists will be selected for the 18th Annual Telfair Art Fair and $10,000 in prizes will be awarded.
The Telfair Art Fair promotes the mission of developing awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the arts and serving as a dynamic cultural center connecting people of all ages and backgrounds.

The popular opening preview party offers artists the opportunity to get a jump-start on exhibiting and selling their works to more than 600 Arty Party Patrons, museum members, and other special guests. Arty Party features music, food and beverages and gives artists direct exposure to our finest constituents. Arty Party Patrons and guests will get a first look at many of the Art Fair artists’ work.
ABOUT THE JUDGE / JUDGING & AWARDS PRESENTATION
Awards will be announced at noon on Saturday, November 10th. Artists who are selected and accept invitation to participate into the 18thAnnual Telfair Art Fair are eligible for judging and awards. $10,000 in prizes will be awarded. The recipient of the Carolyn Luck McElveen Gold Award will receive a $5,000 prize and guaranteed entry for the 2012 Telfair Art Fair. Guaranteed entry in the 2012 Telfair Art Fair will also be granted to the Silver and Bronze Award winners, as well as a $2,000 and $1,000 prize, respectively. Four $500 Honorable Mention Awards will also be granted. Only original works are eligible for judging and awards.
All awards are determined by this year’s guest judge, Cynthia Prost, Director of the Arts and Education Council of St. Louis. Cynthia Prost was named President of the Arts and Education Council (A&E) in June 2008. The Arts and Education Council, founded in 1963, raises private funds in support of the arts and arts education throughout our 16-county St. Louis metropolitan area. A&E grants these funds to nearly 70 arts and arts education organizations in the 16 county bi-state region. A&E further supports the arts community by serving as master lessee of the Centene Center for Arts and Education in Grand Center, an arts incubator that is home to 15 arts organizations, co-developed by A&E and other partners. In the fall of 2011, Prost created and launched the Arts Leadership and Management Academy within the Centene Center to offer professional development opportunities to arts managers.
