Youth classes are the perfect way to introduce your children to the museum setting while providing a fun and educational outlet for exploring and creating new types of art. Every youth class demonstrates skills that exhibiting Telfair artists used in their artwork- a visual and hands-on approach to learning new media. Both progressive and interesting, the classes ignite your child’s imagination and creativity, while reinforcing the necessary foundational skills for artistic development. |

Adult studio classes are tailored to reinforce museum exhibition themes and/or concepts. Filling a niche in the community, studio classes offer a nurturing creative environment and provide a wonderful opportunity to advance your artistic talents. |

Carl Fougerousse
Carl G. Fougerousse earned his Masters in Fine Arts with a specialization in figurative painting at the New York Academy of Art. He is the founder of Red Fern Stained Glass & Fine Arts Studio where he creates works of art in a variety of media. Professor Fougerousse has taught drawing and painting at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC. Currently he continues to teach at the Jepson Center and the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Marisa Lilje
Marisa Lilje is a draughtswoman and printmaker currently teaching at Veritas Academy. She received her Masters in Figurative Drawing from the New York Academy of Art in Manhattan and her Bachelors in Printmaking & Drawing from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Charlie Ribbens
Charlie Ribbens has 14 years experience in the medical photography field. He has created images for a major health system that included portraits, billboards, magazine illustrations, documenting surgeries and surgical techniques. He has another 6 years experience as a staff photographer for the Savannah College of Art and Design. The open marsh landscapes and Low Country have always caught his eye; attention to details in his photographs gives the images an intriguing depth. One aspect of Charlie’s imagery has evolved into the panoramic, giving the viewer a wide and intimate view of the low country.

Sandra Colquitt
Award-winning artist, Sandra Colquitt, holds a B.F.A. degree in painting and art education from the University of Georgia, and has studied with various portrait masters around the country. She has had over thirty years experience in the field of portraiture, and has taught children in the public schools in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and in Jacksonville Florida. She currently teaches adult portrait classes at the Jepson and maintains her studio here in Savannah. Her portrait work is represented in collections throughout the Southeast and in Canada.

Elizabeth Newkirk
Elizabeth Rauers Newkirk is a former principal dancer with Laura Dean Dancers and Musicians of New York City. She toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe performing and teaching master workshops. Most recent involvements in dance include choreographing and performing in a variety of educational, studio and stage environments.

Red Panda Studios is an animation and game development company started by Sean Higginbottom and Miranda Marquez. The studio specializes in mobile gaming and 3D animated productions. As the team expands, Red Panda Studios plans to delve into other platforms in gaming.
