October 9 –November 13, Tuesdays 10 am-1 pm
Instructor: Rebecca Willis
Portrait painting is often viewed by many as intimidating and challenging, but painting the figure can be just as approachable as a still life or landscape, and brings a unique satisfaction. In this workshop, Willis will discuss and demonstrate how to achieve spontaneity, character and life in figure paintings. The artist will share techniques and color properties while emphasizing the importance of shapes and values within paintings. Willis’ desire as an instructor is to help build on core fundamentals of watercolor painting that help establish a new and exciting level with individual skills while having fun at the same time.
