Join Friends of the Owens-Thomas House as they travel to central Georgia on a fall trip via motor coach to visit 19th century houses where, in the past, residents of the low country sought relief from the sultry summer weather. Visit Milledgeville and tour Andalusia, Savannah native Flannery O’Connor’s last home. After a picnic lunch on the porch, see the newly renovated Old Governor’s Mansion for a behind-the-scenes tour.

Stay two nights in the luxurious James Madison Inn in historic Madison, voted the prettiest small town in Georgia.

See the Clarkesville homes, Woodlands and Blythewood c.1850 originally owned by George Jones Kollock and Mary Helen Johnston, and return to spend an afternoon in Madison. On the last morning , visit four private homes on Madison’s Holiday Tour of Homes and return to Savannah after lunch.

Space is limited to 20 participants. Deadline September 25 for reservations and full payment.

Call Cyndi Sommers, 790-8880, for information.
