Membership
in the Telfair Museum of Art provides you with many additional opportunities
to enjoy the unique social, cultural and educational benefits that
come with participating in important museum support groups.
Telfair
Academy Guild (TAG)
The Telfair Museum's
largest, most active support group. TAG members attend monthly lectures,
tours, and other activities both at the museum and at cultural venues
throughout the Savannah area. TAG has two annual fundraisers, and
its involved, dedicated members provide valuable volunteer support
for many of the museum's most prestigious programs. For inquiries,

Jay Society (WJS)
WJS members
participate in art-related social activities while volunteering
their time and creativity to broadening the influence of the Telfair
in Savannah and the surrounding community. Monthly events include
private tours of cultural sites, homes, galleries, and more.

Friends
of Owens-Thomas (FOT)
Members of the
Friends of the Owens-Thomas House are dedicated to supporting the
Telfair Museum of Art's elegant historic residence and National
Historic Landmark building on Oglethorpe Square. Friends of Owens-Thomas
House is especially for those interested in architecture, American
and regional history, historic preservation, the decorative arts,
and fine arts, and its members enjoy lectures, tours of historic
residences, and social activities.

Gari
Melchers Collectors' Society
Named in honor
of Gari Melchers--the Telfair's fine arts advisor from 1906-1916
and a respected artist in his own right, the Gari Melchers Collectors'
Society exists to support and promote the expansion of the museum's
collection and to provide its members with exclusive programs and
educational opportunities to enhance their enjoyment and appreciation

Friends
of African American Arts (FAAA)
The Telfair's
newest member support group, Friends of African American Arts (FAAA)
exists to raise public awareness in and to promote the appreciation
and development of art created by African Americans.
Goals
of the newly formed group are to
increase public awareness of African American art and history; to
promote the private acquisition of African American art; to acquire
African American artworks for the Telfair;
and to
support the mission of the Telfair Museum of Art.
