Applicants are sought for curatorial internships for the 2012-2013 academic year. Applicants are required to commit to a minimum of 6 to 12 hours per week for the full academic year. The intern will assist curatorial staff with the presentation of temporary exhibitions, conduct research pertinent to the collection and upcoming exhibitions, support staff in donor/lender cultivation, and provide general administrative support. The intern will also foster interdepartmental communications by facilitating the flow of information from the curatorial department to other divisions within the museum. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously, strong interpersonal skills and a collegial attitude, excellent writing ability, and a high level of professionalism. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office Word/Excel is necessary. Coursework in art history and/or museum studies is helpful, and enthusiasm for the visual arts is required.
